Chicken & Mushroom Pasta in Decadent Cream Sauce


Ingredients:

2 chicken breasts, sliced
8 oz penne pasta
1 tbsp butter
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp thyme, fresh or dried
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:

Cook penne pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced chicken, season with salt, pepper, and thyme, and cook until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté the mushrooms and garlic for 3-4 minutes until tender.
Pour in the heavy cream, then stir in Parmesan cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Add the chicken back to the pan, along with the cooked pasta. Toss to combine.
Serve with extra Parmesan on top for a creamy finish.
