Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
4 ribeye or sirloin steaks
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp butter
For the Garlic Cream Sauce:
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
Let’s Make It Happen:
Cook the Steaks:
Season steaks generously with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness and desired doneness). Add butter and baste steaks for extra flavor. Remove from skillet and let rest.
Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:
In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Reduce heat to medium and stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Dijon mustard, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
Combine:
Return steaks to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Let simmer for 1–2 minutes to soak in the flavors.
Serve:
Plate the steaks with a generous pour of garlic cream sauce. Pair with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a side salad.
Tips for Extra Magic:
Add a splash of white wine to the sauce for extra depth.
Garnish with fresh parsley or chives for a vibrant finish.
Swap Parmesan with blue cheese for a bold twist.
Enjoy:
