Slow Cooker Chicken Philly Sandwiches 


Sink your teeth into these tender, juicy, and flavor-packed Chicken Philly Sandwiches! Made effortlessly in the slow cooker, this dish is loaded with seasoned chicken, sautéed peppers, onions, and melty cheese. Serve it on toasted hoagie rolls for a meal everyone will love!

Ingredients:

2 lbs (900g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 green bell peppers, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup chicken broth
6 slices provolone cheese
6 hoagie rolls or sandwich buns
Instructions:

Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add chicken broth, then top with sliced peppers and onions.
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the cooked peppers and onions in the slow cooker.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Split the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet. Fill each roll with the chicken mixture and top with a slice of provolone cheese.
Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve warm and enjoy the irresistible flavor of these Chicken Philly Sandwiches!
