Tender, juicy steak bites paired with rich, buttery mashed potatoes—a comforting and satisfying meal!
📝 Ingredients:
For the Steak Bites:
1 lb sirloin steak (cut into bite-sized pieces)
4 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp fresh thyme (chopped)
Salt & pepper (to taste)
For the Creamy Mash:
4 large potatoes (peeled and diced)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup butter
Salt & pepper (to taste)
🍽️ Step by Step:
1️⃣ Prepare the Creamy Mash:
Boil diced potatoes in salted water until tender (about 10-12 minutes).
Drain and mash potatoes. Stir in butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside and keep warm.
2️⃣ Cook the Steak Bites:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add steak bites, season with salt and pepper, and sear for 3-4 minutes until browned on all sides.
3️⃣ Make the Garlic Butter:
Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, minced garlic, and thyme to the skillet.
Stir until the butter is melted and the steak bites are coated in the garlic butter. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
4️⃣ Assemble and Serve:
Plate the creamy mashed potatoes and top with the garlic butter steak bites.
Spoon any remaining butter sauce over the steak bites for extra flavor.
💡 TIPS:
🔹 Add chopped parsley or rosemary for a fresh, aromatic garnish.
🔹 For a lighter mash, replace heavy cream with milk or almond milk.
🔹 Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a crisp salad for a complete meal.
