Beef Meatballs with Garlic Parmesan Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Meatballs:
1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Make the Meatballs: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, milk, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until just combined.
Shape the Meatballs: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
Cook the Meatballs: Heat about 1 inch of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce: Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in milk and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
Add Cheese and Garlic: Stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir for 1 minute more, until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Combine: Return meatballs to the skillet and coat them evenly in the sauce.
Serve: Serve the meatballs immediately, spooning sauce over each one.
Tips:
You can use any type of ground meat you like, such as ground turkey or ground pork.
For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
Serve with your favorite sides, such as pasta, mashed potatoes, or a green salad.
