Maraschino Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream Butter and Sugars:
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla:
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Dry Ingredients:
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the butter mixture.
Fold in Cherries and Chocolate Chips:
Gently fold in the chopped maraschino cherries and chocolate chips.
Form Cookies:
Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
Cool:
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely
