Stir-fried Beef with Asparagus Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb steak (sirloin, flank, or ribeye)
1 bunch asparagus
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup oyster sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the steak:
Slice the steak against the grain into strips. Marinate with a bit of soy sauce and black pepper for 15 minutes.
2. Prepare the asparagus:
Trim the ends of the asparagus and cut them into 2-inch pieces.
3. Cook the steak:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the steak and cook until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
4. Cook the asparagus:
Add the asparagus to the same skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
5. Add the sauce:
Add the minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
6. Combine and serve:
Return the steak to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional minute or two until heated through. Serve hot with rice or noodles if desired.
