Ingredients:
– 2 tbsp brown sugar or regular sugar
– 3 cloves garlic, diced
– 8 oz dry egg noodles package or fresh
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tbsp water
– 1/4 tsp white pepper
– 3 cups cabbage, thinly sliced (1/4 large cabbage)
– 1 tbsp sesame oil
– 2 carrots, sliced
– 1/4 yellow onion, sliced
– 1 bunch green onion (green part only)
– 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
– 1 tbsp oyster sauce
– 1 tbsp corn starch
Instructions:
1. Start by slicing the onion, carrots, cabbage, garlic, and green onion. Set them aside for later use.
2. In a bowl, whisk together dark soy sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, corn starch, water, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and white pepper until blended perfectly.
3. Boil a pot of water and cook the 8 oz egg noodles for 5 minutes. Once done, rinse them in cold water to stop the cooking process.
4. Heat up a pan or wok and sauté the garlic, carrots, and onion for 2 minutes. Add in the cabbage and continue cooking for another 2 minutes.
5. Toss the cooked noodles into the pan along with the sauce and green onion. Stir everything for an additional minute until the noodles are well coated in delicious sauce.
6. Serve your scrumptious Lo Mein on a plate and enjoy every bite!
