Crispy Dry Rub Chicken Wings Recipe
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 40 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients: 2 lbs chicken wings
2 tbsp cornstarch or baking powder (for extra crispiness)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
2 tbsp olive oil
Directions:
Prep the Wings:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove moisture.
Season the Wings:
In a bowl, mix cornstarch (or baking powder), salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano.
Toss the wings in olive oil, then coat them evenly with the dry rub mixture.
Cook the Wings:
For Oven: Place wings on a wire rack over a lined baking sheet. Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
For Air Fryer: Arrange wings in a single layer and cook for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
Serve and Garnish:
Transfer the crispy wings to a serving dish, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve with a creamy dipping sauce of your choice (like ranch or honey mustard).
