Creamy Cheddar Ranch Chicken & Sausage Pasta Skillet
Ingredients:
2 cups rotini pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, diced
6 ounces smoked sausage, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
½ cup freshly chopped parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat.
Add diced chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced smoked sausage and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly crispy.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add chicken broth, heavy cream, and ranch seasoning mix, stirring well to combine.
Add the uncooked rotini pasta and bring to a gentle simmer.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir everything together. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
Reduce heat to low and stir in shredded cheddar cheese, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot!
