Triple Chocolate Banana Cake

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

2 cups all-purpose flour

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 bananas)

¾ cup granulated sugar

½ cup brown sugar

½ cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup buttermilk

½ cup chocolate chips

For the Chocolate Ganache:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ cup heavy cream

For the Chocolate Drizzle:

½ cup dark chocolate, melted

Instructions:

Prepare the Cake Batter:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a round cake pan.

In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, mix mashed bananas, sugars, oil, eggs, and vanilla.

Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk to the banana mixture, mixing until combined.

Fold in chocolate chips.

Bake the Cake:

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool completely.

Prepare the Chocolate Ganache:

Heat heavy cream until hot but not boiling.

Pour over chocolate chips and stir until smooth.

Let it cool slightly, then spread over the cake.

Add the Chocolate Drizzle:

Drizzle melted dark chocolate over the ganache for an extra chocolatey touch.

Serve & Enjoy:

Let the cake set for about 30 minutes before slicing.
