Cake Mix Christmas Cookies
Ingredients
1 (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix (or Devil’s Food)
⅓ cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup M&M candies (or chocolate chips)
Equipment
Large mixing bowl
Quarter sheet pan
Cooling rack
Method
Preheat Oven:
Set your oven to 350℉.
Make the Dough:
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, vanilla, and eggs until a thick dough forms. Stir in the M&M candies.
Form the Cookies:
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake:
Bake for 9–11 minutes, then let the cookies cool on the sheet for 2–3 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
Notes:
Switch things up with chopped peppermint bark, crushed candy canes, or nuts instead of M&Ms.
For a festive touch, use holiday-colored M&Ms or drizzle white chocolate on top once cooled.
