Ingredients:
1 block firm tofu, cut into small pieces
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups beef or vegetable broth
2 cups water
1 teaspoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add garlic, onion, and ginger. Stir until fragrant.
3. Add tofu and stir until golden brown.
4. Pour in broth, water, gochujang, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
5. Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
6. Add green onions and sesame seeds. Stir well.
7. Serve the Korean tofu soup hot with rice or noodles.
Tips:
You can add other vegetables like carrots, mushrooms, or zucchini to the soup.
If you don’t have gochujang, you can substitute it with another type of chili paste.
