Beef-Stuffed Shells with Creamy Ricotta Filling
Ingredients:
1. 12 jumbo pasta shells
2. 1 lb ground beef
3. 1 cup ricotta cheese
4. 1 cup marinara sauce
5. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
6. ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
7. 1 egg
8. 1 tsp Italian seasoning
9. Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. Preheat Oven:
1.1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Get a baking dish ready.
2. Cook the Beef:
2.1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
3. Prepare the Filling:
3.1. In a bowl, mix together the cooked beef, ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
4. Stuff the Shells:
4.1. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and cool slightly.
4.2. Stuff each shell with the beef and ricotta mixture.
5. Assemble the Dish:
5.1. Spread marinara sauce in the bottom of the baking dish.
5.2. Place the stuffed shells on top of the sauce.
5.3. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the shells.
6. Bake:
6.1. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
6.2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Serve:
7.1. Serve the beef-stuffed shells hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
