Classic Hot Chocolate Cookies :
Indulge in the rich, cozy flavors of hot chocolate in cookie form! These soft and chewy cookies are packed with chocolate chips and Mallow Bits, making them the perfect winter treat for all ages.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
4 packets (or 3/4 cup) hot cocoa mix (not sugar-free)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup Mallow Bits (mini marshmallows not recommended)
Instructions:
Prepare Dough: In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar with a standing mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, hot cocoa mix, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the butter mixture until fully incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips and Mallow Bits.
Chill Dough: Cover dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
Preheat Oven: When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with silicone mats or parchment paper.
Form Cookies: Drop 2-tablespoon portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
Bake: Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
