Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa
This comforting dish combines delicious pierogi, savory kielbasa, and creamy goodness, all made easy in your slow cooker. Perfect for busy days or a cozy family dinner!
Ingredients:
1 package (16 oz) frozen pierogi (any flavor)
1 lb kielbasa, sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup chicken broth
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Directions:
1. Prepare Crockpot: Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray for easy cleanup.
2. Layer Ingredients: Place half of the frozen pierogi in the bottom of the crockpot.
3. Add Kielbasa: Sprinkle half of the sliced kielbasa over the pierogi, then add half of the chopped onion.
4. Cheese Layer: Spread half of the cheddar cheese on top.
5. Add More Layers: Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, onion, and cheddar cheese.
6. Mix Sauce: In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, chicken broth, salt, and pepper until smooth.
7. Pour Sauce: Pour this creamy mixture over the layered ingredients in the crockpot.
8. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until everything is heated through and creamy.
