Ding Dong Cake
Ingredients:
1 box of chocolate cake mix
1 cream cheese, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1 stick of margarine, softened
1 container of Cool Whip
1 can of chocolate icing
2 tablespoons of milk
Directions:
1. Bake the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions.
2. Let the cake sit for 10 minutes after it’s done baking, then turn it out onto a cooling rack. Once cooled, slice the cake in half.
3. Place one half of the cake back in the bottom of the pan.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, softened margarine, and mix together using a mixer. Fold in the container of Cool Whip.
5. Spread the cream cheese mixture on the cake layer in the pan, then place the other cake layer on top.
6. In a separate bowl, mix the chocolate icing with 2 tablespoons of milk until well combined. Spread this mixture on top of the cake.
7. Refrigerate the Ding Dong Cake before serving.
