 Ingredients
● For the Chocolate Cake:
• 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
• ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 1½ tsp baking powder

• 1 tsp salt
• 2 large eggs, room temperature
• 1 cup whole milk
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup boiling water (or hot coffee for richer flavor)
● For the Decadent Chocolate Frosting:
• 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
• 3½ cups powdered sugar
• 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• ½ cup heavy cream (more if needed)
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• ¼ tsp salt

 Instructions
1: Preheat & Prepare Pans – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper circles.
2: Make the Cake Batter – In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract; beat on medium speed until smooth. Slowly stir in the boiling water (or hot coffee) until the batter is thin and silky.
3: Bake the Cakes – Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
4: Prepare the Frosting – In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing on low speed to avoid a mess. Pour in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt; beat until the frosting is light, fluffy, and spreadable (add more cream if needed).
5: Assemble the Cake – Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a generous layer of frosting over the top. Add the second cake layer and frost the top and sides evenly.
