Frikadellen (German Meat Patties) 



Golden, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside, Frikadellen are a classic German delight, perfect with mustard and potatoes!
Ingredients
1/2 pound ground beef | 225 g
1/2 pound ground pork | 225 g
1/4 cup breadcrumbs | 30 g
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 egg
1 tablespoon mustard (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, mustard (if using), and season with salt and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
Shape the patties: Form the mixture into small, round patties.
Cook: Heat a skillet with a little oil over medium heat. Fry the patties for 4–5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked through.
Serve: Enjoy warm with mustard on the side.
Serving Tip: Pair Frikadellen with boiled potatoes, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a wholesome and satisfying meal!
