Ingredients:
1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Cheesy Herb Pasta:
12 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Cook the pasta: Boil fettuccine in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
Prepare the steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak pieces with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove the steak and set aside.
Make garlic butter: Lower the heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the seared steak back to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter. Remove and set aside.
Prepare the sauce: In a separate skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, whisking until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
Combine pasta and sauce: Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Use reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency, if needed.
Serve: Plate the cheesy herb pasta and top with garlic butter steak pieces. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
