Homemade Crunch Bars

Homemade Crunch Bars

Ingredients:

3 cups rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:

Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter and peanut butter together over medium heat, stirring occasionally until smooth and fully combined.
Once the butter and peanut butter mixture is smooth, remove it from the heat and stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
Gently fold in the rice cereal, making sure each piece is evenly coated with the peanut butter mixture.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and press it down firmly with a spatula to ensure an even layer.
In a separate bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
Pour the melted chocolate over the rice cereal mixture, spreading it evenly with a spatula to cover the top.
Refrigerate the pan for about 1-2 hours or until the chocolate has set and the bars are firm.
Once chilled, remove the bars from the pan and cut them into squares.
Serve and enjoy these crunchy, peanut-buttery, chocolatey treats!
