Ingredients
Bread:
White bread or sesame round bread, toasted until golden brown
Optional: Fresh garlic, lightly brushed on the bread after toasting for extra flavor
Cheese:
Provolone cheese, sliced
Swiss cheese, sliced
Meat:
Turkey ham, thinly sliced
Beef salami, rich and flavorful
Beef mortadella, delicately sliced
Veggies and Dressing:
Green olives and black olives, finely chopped
A handful of tangy pickled vegetables, diced
2–3 tablespoons of robust olive oil
1–2 tablespoons of red grape vinegar for a zesty kick
1 teaspoon of dried oregano for aromatic seasoning
Directions
Step 1: Toast the Bread
Brush the bread slices with olive oil and toast until crisp and golden brown.
For an extra layer of flavor, lightly rub the toasted bread with a clove of fresh garlic.
Step 2: Prep the Veggies
Finely chop the green and black olives along with the pickled veggies.
In a small bowl, combine the chopped vegetables with olive oil, red grape vinegar, and oregano. Mix well to coat evenly.
Step 3: Build the Sandwich
On one slice of toasted bread, layer provolone cheese, Swiss cheese, turkey ham, beef salami, and beef mortadella.
Spoon the marinated vegetable mixture generously over the top.
