Ingredients:
– 1 kg beef bones (beef neck bones or beef back bones)
– 2 tbsp sesame oil
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 cm ginger, minced
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 2 tbsp sugar
– 1 tsp black pepper
– 1 tsp salt
– 2 liters water
– 2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions:
1. Clean the beef bones thoroughly and drain well.
2. Heat the sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger and sauté until fragrant.
3. Add the beef bones, soy sauce, sugar, black pepper, and salt. Stir well.
4. Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
5. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1-2 hours, or until the beef bones are tender.
6. Remove the pot from the heat and let the soup cool.
7. Strain the soup to remove the beef bones and other solids.
8. Serve the soup hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.
Tips:
– Make sure to clean the beef bones thoroughly before using them.
– If you want a thicker soup, you can add 1-2 tbsp of cornstarch or flour to the soup before serving.
– Kkori Gomtang can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or frozen for 2-3 months.
