Ingredients:

For the Patty Melts:
✅ 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
✅ 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
✅ ½ tsp salt
✅ ½ tsp black pepper
✅ 1 tbsp butter
✅ 1 large onion, thinly sliced
✅ 4 slices Swiss cheese
✅ 4 slices cheddar cheese
✅ 8 slices rye bread
✅ 2 tbsp butter (for grilling)

For the Secret Sauce:
✅ ½ cup mayonnaise
✅ 2 tbsp ketchup
✅ 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
✅ 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
✅ 1 tsp pickle relish
✅ ½ tsp garlic powder
✅ ½ tsp onion powder
✅ Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1️⃣ Caramelize the Onions

Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown and soft (about 15 minutes), stirring occasionally.
2️⃣ Prepare the Secret Sauce

In a bowl, mix all sauce ingredients until smooth.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
3️⃣ Cook the Beef Patties

In a bowl, mix ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Shape into thin patties, roughly the size of your bread slices.
Cook in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes per side until fully cooked.
4️⃣ Assemble the Patty Melts

Spread secret sauce on each slice of rye bread.
Layer a slice of Swiss cheese, a beef patty, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, and another bread slice.
5️⃣ Grill to Perfection

Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet.
Cook each sandwich over medium heat until golden brown and the cheese is melted (about 2-3 minutes per side).
6️⃣ Serve & Enjoy!

Slice and serve hot with extra secret sauce for dipping.
