Instructions:

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before slicing it into squares.
For the Frosting:
Beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing well.
Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract, then beat until fluffy.
Mix in pink food coloring until you achieve the desired shade.
