Puff Pastry Caramel Slice 🍯🍫

Ingredients:

**For the Caramel Layer:**
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter 🧈
– 1/2 cup brown sugar 🍚
– 2 tbsp golden syrup or honey 🍯
– 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk 🥛

**For the Puff Pastry:**
– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed 🥐

**For the Chocolate Topping:**
– 4 oz dark chocolate 🍫
– 2 tbsp unsalted butter 🧈

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out the puff pastry on the prepared baking sheet. Prick the surface with a fork and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and puffed. Remove from the oven and let cool.
3. For the caramel layer, melt butter, brown sugar, golden syrup (or honey), and condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
4. Pour the caramel mixture over the cooled puff pastry and spread evenly. Let it set for 20 minutes.
5. For the chocolate topping, melt dark chocolate and butter together until smooth. Pour over the caramel layer and spread evenly.
6. Refrigerate the slice for 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate has set. Cut into squares and serve.
