Spicy Garlic Butter Sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional, for a tangy twist)
Directions:
Melt the Butter:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter with the olive oil to prevent burning.
Sauté the Garlic:
Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly until fragrant. Be careful not to brown the garlic.
Add the Spices:
Stir in the crushed red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper. Let the spices infuse the butter for about 1 minute, stirring frequently.
Finish the Sauce:
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the fresh parsley and, if desired, squeeze in the lemon juice for added brightness.
Serve:
Pour the sauce over your favorite dishes such as shrimp, pasta, grilled vegetables, or use it as a dipping sauce for bread and seafood.
