Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) beef chuck or sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
For the BBQ Glaze:
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp butter
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Beef:
Pat the beef cubes dry with paper towels. Season with salt and black pepper.
Heat a skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil.
Sear the beef cubes for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
2. Make the BBQ Glaze:
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Stir to combine.
Add the butter and stir until melted, creating a glossy glaze.
3. Combine and Coat:
Return the beef bites to the skillet. Toss in the glaze, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated.
Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the glaze to thicken and cling to the beef.
4. Serve:
Transfer the sticky BBQ beef bites to a serving dish.
Serve hot as an appetizer or pair with sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice for a full meal.
Pro Tip: Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley for added flavor and presentation!
