Strawberry Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

2 ½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup whole milk

½ cup strawberry puree (fresh or frozen)

A few drops of pink food coloring (optional)

For the Frosting:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3 cups powdered sugar

½ cup strawberry puree

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.

Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cream butter and sugar: In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla: Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.

Combine wet and dry: Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk, mixing until smooth. Stir in strawberry puree and food coloring.

Bake: Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool completely.

Prepare frosting: Beat butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar, strawberry puree, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

Assemble cake: Frost the cooled cake and decorate with fresh strawberries.
