Stuffed Seafood Bread Bowl 🦀🍤🥖
A creamy, cheesy seafood filling packed with shrimp and crab, baked to perfection inside a golden sourdough bread bowl—perfect for sharing!
Ingredients:
1 large sourdough bread bowl
1/2 pound cooked shrimp, chopped
1/2 pound lump crab meat
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prep the Bread Bowl:
Using a sharp knife, cut the top off the sourdough bread and hollow out the center, leaving a sturdy shell. Set the removed bread pieces aside for dipping.
2️⃣ Make the Seafood Filling:
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded mozzarella, green onions, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, smoked paprika, and lemon juice.
Gently fold in the chopped shrimp and crab meat until evenly mixed.
3️⃣ Fill and Bake:
Spoon the seafood mixture into the hollowed bread bowl, spreading it evenly.
Place the bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is golden and bubbling.
4️⃣ Serve:
Garnish with extra green onions or parsley. Serve warm with the reserved bread chunks or crackers for dipping.
Tips:
For extra flavor, drizzle the filling with a touch of olive oil or sprinkle additional smoked paprika before baking.
Pair with lemon wedges for an added citrus kick!
